The Ben Jonson Pub has been known by its name since the 1700’s. The pub is said to have been named after the famous poet and playwriter, Ben Jonson who is thought to have stayed here whilst travelling to visit William Shakespeare in Stratford upon Avon.

The Ben Jonson is a charming establishment located in Weston on the Green and only 2 miles from junction 9 of the M40. We are also situated within easy reach of many local attractions such as the famous Bicester Village Shopping Outlet, The Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa, The Weston Manor Hotel and Blenheim Palace.

Join us for a delightful dining experience where the Ben greets patrons with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complimented by friendly and attentive staff.

We have a large selection of food on our menu with plenty of pub classics with a choice of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan alternatives. We are also proud to offer a selection of Jeremy Clarkson’s famous Hawkstone lager and ciders and you can find us on the Hawkstone Pub Finder map.

As you may have guessed by the name, our menu may possibly have one of the largest jacket potato selections in the country! We have put everything into making our spuds one of the best you will ever have, sourcing our potatoes from a well-known potato farm in Warwickshire. We also have a large variety of toppings that are homemade by the Spud Team and let us not forget our in-house garlic butter, garlic olive oil and our special ‘Jonson Sauce’!
